Rental Conditions

Check-in time is 2 – 3pm and departure time no later than 10am unless prior arrangements have been made. After completing the final payment, you will be advised on how to locate the apartment key. On departure you must lock the doors and then return this key as instructed. If you lose or do not return the key, you may be charged for its recovery or lock replacement. On Arrival if you have any problems with the apartment you must contact us immediately.

Payment of the rental deposit is required to secure the booking and constitutes the guest’s acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. For any cancellation if caused by the guest, the deposit paid is nonrefundable. At the discretion of the owner It may be transferred to a date within the following 12 months, as long as a written request is received prior to the date of the balance of payment and the property can be re let to another guest. The balance of the rental amount must be received in full 30 days prior to occupancy. If not, the owner has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re let it. An admin fee of $100 applies for all transfers. There are no refunds or transfers for bookings in
mid and full peak periods. The owners and property manager will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked however, in the unlikely event the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances. We make all efforts to keep everything clean, tidy, comfortable and in good working order. However, breakdowns and damage can happen that are out of our control. If this is a Resort matter, we will contact the maintenance department to address the issue but can give no guarantees. As this is an Island it can take some time to get the necessary parts and equipment for repairs although we will make every effort to do so and strive to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

Tangalooma does not manage this privately-owned apartment although you are still bound by the resort rules and regulations. Any breach of these rules, extra persons without authorization, excessive noise, offensive language, parties and large gatherings will not be tolerated and may result in immediate cancellation of your accommodation, with no refund. This apartment is solely for the use of the persons renting, numbers above. Please respect this apartment, the equipment provided within and your neighbors’ privacy. Pets are not allowed, and smoking is prohibited in the apartment.

Beds are not to be slept on without sheets and pillowcases. With linen we do not supply beach towels therefore it is important to bring these with you. The towels provided are for bathroom use only and must not be taken from the apartment or used for any other purpose. If beds are slept on without linen you will be charged for the laundering of all bedcovers and protectors. With the TV and stereo do not allow your children to touch the screen or play with the controls and remote. Do not allow your children to jump and climb on beds and furniture or sit on while wearing wet clothing. On returning from the beach or swimming pools remove all sand and wet clothing. Dry off before entering the apartment. Avoid moving furniture. If you do, make sure it is put back before you leave. Any fittings, furnishings and household items provided including outdoor furniture, are not to be taken from the premises. When using the bbq avoid spilling oil and fat and do not leave unattended. Clean thoroughly including the spill tray, after use and prior to departure. There are scrapers, scourers, cloths and bbq cleaner provided. If this is not done properly a minimum charge of $50 will be deducted from the security deposit

Prior to departure please ensure that the dishwasher is emptied. All cookware, crockery and cutlery must be washed clean and put away where they were found. Fold and put away all blankets, tidy up, clean the fridges, stove and bbq, vacuum or sweep the floors, remove all rubbish from the property and hang wet towels up to dry. If you use the porta cot it must be cleaned, collapsed and returned to where it is stored. Ensure you turn off the air-conditioning, all the lights and fans and close the doors and shutters. Lock up and leave the premises in a clean and tidy condition as you find it. If there are any problems, breakages or damage you must notify us before you depart. The total amount paid includes a security deposit. If all these conditions are complied with and everything is left in good order, this is refundable within approximately 7 days of your departure.

On booking this accommodation it is agreed by all parties that the Property Owners and Bulwer Property Carers reserve the right to charge for any cost of removal, replacement, repair, extra maintenance and cleaning caused from abuse, misuse and/or neglect of these conditions, including any legal expense and representation required to recover such cost in excess of any security deposit. We accept no responsibility or liability for any accident or personal injury that may occur to you or any member of your group during your stay, or any damage to or loss of your personal property. Due to the location, any personal items left behind after you depart will incur a minimum $50 fee for their return to the ferry office on the mainland.
